Andros Taverna is Hosting a Fundraiser in Honor of the Historic District’s Greek Restaurant, Terminal

In honor of the historic Terminal restaurant, which operated in Logan Square from 1911 until the 1970s, Andros Taverna will host Terminal Night on March 14 with a special Mezze Monday menu, as well as a cocktail menu with contributions from some of the restaurants and current favorite bars of Logan Square. As part of Andros Taverna’s Olive Branch program, proceeds raised from the event will be used to transform Logan Square Park into a vibrant community destination.

Participating restaurants include Billy Sunday, Estereo, Longman & Eagle, Mi Tocaya Antojería and Spilled Milk. Each will provide a classic cocktail recipe to honor Terminal Restaurant, but with a modern twist that represents their unique menus like Andros Taverna’s Olive Martini or Estereo’s Memo’s Paloma.

Andros will offer a special dinner menu featuring classic Terminal restaurant menu items, served alongside the regular Andros dinner menu. The Terminal restaurant began as a coffee stand in 1911 before becoming a robust restaurant offering tasty seafood, prime cuts of steak and a robust a la carte menu ranging from sandwiches to omelettes to spaghetti. The restaurant also raised funds through war bonds and US stamps to support the US Armed Forces during World War II.

The special menu will include an Andros version of typical Terminal dishes like the D-Luxe hamburger sandwich with two soutzoukakia patties, the Psari Crudo tuna with pistachios, skordalia and crispy pita and the Bakaliaro Skordalia – with crispy cod and garlic whipped potatoes. Andros will also offer a cinnamon waffle drizzled with honey from heaven and served with crispy fried chicken.

Located next to Andros, Logan Square Park will receive funds to revitalize the landscape, helping them become a new community meeting place for Logan Square.

Andros partnered with Logan Preservatory and Beam Suntory for Terminal Night, with the latter donating spirits and personalized glassware with Terminal engravings to commemorate the event. Commemorative glassware will be available for purchase and special menu cards featuring classic Terminal menu items will be available for diners to take home.

Reservations available through Resy.
