Atlanta Restaurants: The Sweetgreen salad chain and Brown Bag Seafood Co. open in Spring 2022 in Ashford Lane at Perimeter Center

New locations for billion-dollar salad chain Sweetgreen and Chicago-based sustainable seafood restaurant Brown Bag Seafood Company will open next spring in the emerging mixed-use development of Ashford Lane at Perimeter Center . In addition to the locations now open at Colony Square in Midtown and Ponce City Market, a Sweetgreen location is also planned for Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead. Brown Bag Seafood includes a location in Colony Square as well as Westside Provisions District off Howell Mill Road.

The two quick-service establishments will join the previously announced food hall, The Hall, which will open in December at the Perimeter Center complex, and a Ford Fry’s Superica location, which will open next summer. The dining halls feature Cuban food from Renzo; Mexican restaurant Itzayana; Asian street food Wabi Sabi; Hawaiian barbecue and Huli Bowl poke stand; The chef and I at the American fusion booth; and the Southern Fork and Hen Comfort Food Stall. In addition to its stands, the Hall has three bars, full table service and a TopGolf simulator in one of two private event spaces.

More restaurants, as well as retail stores, offices and a large central green space called Lawn, are expected to open in the coming year in Ashford Lane. [Official]

Another location of Marlow’s Tavern is closing

The Prado location of Atlanta’s Marlow’s Tavern restaurant chain is now closed, according to Tomorrow’s news today. Chef and co-owner John Metz said the company has decided not to renew the lease for the Sandy Springs shopping complex. The Marlow Tavern includes several locations in the Atlanta area, mostly located in the towns of the northern suburbs. [TNT]
