What there is to know
- Minnie & Friends Breakfast opens August 12 at the Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park
- Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast will be available at Disney’s Grand Californian Storytellers Café on July 22 (reservations open July 20)
DISNEYLAND’S COLORFUL KITCHEN … is famous all over the world, thanks to the quintessential treats (churros, Dole whips, more churros, more Dole whips), the themed decors (enjoy a Blue Bayou Monte Cristo sandwich while the Pirates of the Caribbean ships pass, by example), and opportunities to eat while watching incredible fireworks. But surely one of the happiest meals has to be when Minnie or Mickey or some other Disney icon stops at your table for a smile, a photo, and to indulge in a bit of playful pantomime. Characteristic meals are what have long attracted many parents with young children to various restaurants in the area. Disneyland resort, and anyone else who appreciates a surprise appearance by a beloved figure in a gourmet setting. Now…
DINING ROOM WITH CHARACTER … is set to return to a few of the restaurants around the Anaheim Resort, giving diners the rare chance to eat while interacting with some of the most famous personalities seen in the parks. Storytellers café at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel will be offering Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast starting July 22, with reservations open on July 20, while Minnie & Friends Breakfast will bring morning joy to Auberge de la Place from August 12 (no reservation date has been communicated, but an announcement is expected soon). Are you ready to pose for a cute snap with Minnie while you take a break from your pancake plate? It’s a dining tradition at The Happiest Place on Earth.
DISNEYLAND RESORT … I just made a few other culinary reveals, although they didn’t include character meals, keep in mind. The upstairs dining room Cercle Carthay restaurant at Disney California Adventure reopens July 22, with reservations opening July 20, while The Golden Horseshoe at Disneyland Park reopens on July 29 (note that there will only be meals and drinks, and no shows for now). For all the latest information, including reservations, times and menus, check out the Disneyland Restoration Page now.
