Comings and Goings: Career Developments in Associations

Career moves are common in the nonprofit industry. There are several leadership changes this month, including Lynne Osmond becoming the first woman to lead Choose Chicago, Lew Sherr moving into the leadership position of the US Tennis Association, and Michelle Korsmo taking the helm. of the National Restaurant Association.

In other moves, Karla Kirk will serve as vice president of growth and revenue at the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. In addition to these, here is an overview of promotions and other career changes in the association industry.

Chiefs of Staff

Tammy Blount-Canavan was named President and CEO of Visit Seattle. It will begin on May 9.

The Organic Trade Association has chosen Tom Chapman as the new CEO and Executive Director.

The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer selected Karen Kelly, MDas CEO.

The National Restaurant Association has named Michelle L. Korsmo as President and CEO, as well as CEO of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, effective May 1.

Matt Rookard was chosen as president and CEO of the Louisiana Credit Union League. It starts on May 2.

The American Institute for Conservation and its affiliate, the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation, have named[PDF] Lissa Rosenthal-Yoffe as the new CEO.
