19 family restaurants will take foodies on a diverse culinary adventure
LA GRANGE, IL – Foodies rejoice!
Restaurant week is on the menu in the suburb of La Grange.
The ten-day event will kick off on Friday, February 25 and run until Sunday, March 6.
Food lovers will experience various culinary adventures and discover the tastes of different countries when they visit one of the 19 participating restaurants.
The range of restaurants includes contemporary Italian, Japanese, Latin, Indian, American and classic American steakhouses for starters.
All restaurants are family-owned and all offer value-priced multi-course menus of $20, $30, $40 and more with brand name items.
Most menus are available on site or to take away.
January and February are generally slow months for restaurants after a heavy holiday season.
Now add the pandemic with its government mandates, supply chain issues, staffing issues and restrictions, and it’s been a tough time for many in the restaurant industry.
Nancy Cummings, director of the La Grange Business Association, spoke to WGN News Now and said that “restaurateurs are struggling to get food on their tables at home as they work hard to put food on yours”.
She encourages people to stop by La Grange during Restaurant Week and to visit and support local restaurants even after Restaurant Week is over.
