SEA Airport welcomes the West Coast’s first virtual airport restaurant – CHICKY

New Kathy Casey Concept Offers Quick QR Code Access to Ordering and Pickup at Current Store

Seattle celebrity chef Kathy Casey is back with a new concept at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), bringing ease of use and quick turnaround to the traveler experience. CHICKY is the first virtual restaurant at a US West Coast airport where orders go straight to your phone with a QR code and pickups are easy at the Lucky Louie Fish Shack, located in the central terminal. Virtual opening is now underway and QR code signage can be found throughout the airport as well as on the flySEA Airport app.

CHICKY’s menu offers simple, fresh and tasty options ranging from buttermilk-soaked hand-breaded tenders and homemade sauces, sandwiches, salads, sticky chicken bowl, chicken and waffles and crispy cheese curds. .

How it works?

DecorativeAll orders will be digital via a QR code that airport travelers will scan. Orders will be placed through the CHICKY app and will be prepared by the same kitchen staff at Lucky Louie. Guest will receive instructions to pick up their order at a special “CHICKY Pick Up Here” sign at Lucky Louie.

“CHICKY was created out of a need at SEA for a chicken-centric concept,” said Kathy Casey. “We wanted to create familiar and appetizing menu items. The ghost kitchen and virtual restaurant concepts are something I’ve talked about at many food and drink conferences; and how they can optimize kitchen background operations while adding more options for the customer and in a very fun way! »

“CHICKY also has a funny story. In our test kitchen we have a big porcelain chicken, we really don’t know where it came from, but everyone thought it was cute. One day he started wearing a pair of sparkly glasses and from there he became our kitchen mascot CHICKY. CHICKY even starred in my cookbook D’Lish Deviled Eggs. As she’s a bit of a star hen, I thought who better to base the new concept on! (Casey laughs!)

Another technology innovation is Order SEA, including SEA Spot Saver for virtual queuing at security checkpoints.
