A number of Southern California spots will be making these displays of gratitude for connecting with the community on November 11, all to honor those who have served as well as active military personnel.

Veterans Day 2021 will feature a host of special events, as well as offers, savings and opportunities to enjoy free entry to some of our region’s most well-known cultural attractions.
Good to know? You will need to show military ID, or be in uniform in some cases, at more than one of these locations. Just check ahead and make sure you know what you’ll need to bring before you go.
The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens will offer veterans free entry to the San Marino monument on not one, but two days: Thursday November 11 and Friday November 12. Keep in mind that advance reservations are required as capacity is limited and you will need to show military ID.

The Heroes Hall Museum at the OC Fair & Event Center will relaunch its permanent exhibit highlighting the Santa Ana Army Air Base. A celebration is also planned for the day, and admission is free. Look for other exhibits in the museum, including “Through Their Eyes: Artworks of Serving Servicemen and Veterans.”
National parks observe six days of free admission per year, and Veterans Day is the last on the annual calendar. While many of our epic natural spaces still offer free entry, a number of parks charge entry fees. Shakers, Canoe House, Diner on Main or Central Grille? These are four favorites found in western San Gabriel Valley and Glendale, classic restaurants with lots of local love. Veterans will receive free entry on Thursday, November 11 to one of these locations, but make sure you’re in uniform or have your military ID handy.
The three-item combo at Acapulco y Cantina restaurant? It’s a favorite with many guests, and veterans can savor it for free on November 11. Choices for your three items include grated chicken, grated beef, chili relleno, and other tempting choices. Just make sure you have your ID ready.
Dunkin fans, take note: Veterans can stop by a store and purchase a free donut on November 11, and no purchase is necessary. The company shares this: Dunkin’s Veterans Day initiatives are part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to support the U.S. military. Through the Dunkin Coffee for Our Troops program, the company has donated over 300,000 pounds of coffee to troops deployed overseas. “
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse will offer visiting veterans a special Veterans Day menu, which will include a range of free meals. Selections include a bacon cheeseburger, jumbo spaghetti and meatballs, and more. A free Dr. Pepper will also be served with any dish from this menu.
Fancy something filling, filling and the burger side of a menu? Farmers Boys is offering all military members, active and retired, a free Big Cheese on November 11.
